Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept Cash and Card Payments. Online bookings must be paid in full via our secure online booking system.
Are there any age restrictions?
Seal Island boat tours are family friendly and suitable for all ages. Under 16s must be accompanied by a full paying adult. Infants under 12 months are free and do not require a ticket but please inform a member of staff before booking.
How many passengers does the boat carry?
The boat is licensed to carry a maximum of 12 passengers and 2 members of crew.
Can I stand up and walk around whilst onboard?
Yes, there is plenty of space onboard to either sit or stand and passengers are more than welcome to move around the boat should they wish to do so.
Will I get wet?
It is unlikely that any passengers will get wet. Our boat is fully equipped with a large canopy in case of rain and drizzle. We do advise that passengers dress appropriately as it can get cold at sea and some light spray may occur.
Is it guaranteed that we will see seals and dolphins?
Unfortunately we can never guarantee that seals and dolphins will be spotted during the tour due to them being wild and free roaming animals. Seals are spotted on roughly 95% of our tours and other wildlife is often seen on our tours including sun fish, wild tuna and a variety of sea birds.
Are dogs welcome aboard?
Yes, friendly dogs are welcome aboard but must be kept on a lead at all times.
How do we board the boat?
Our boat is easily accessible from St. Ives pier and we will always provide assistance to anyone that requires it. At low tide you will board a smaller boat and be taken a short distance out to the main boat where our crew will then assist you across.
Do you provide life jackets?
Yes, life jackets will be given out prior to boarding and must be worn by all passengers for the duration of the tour. Our lifejackets are available in all sizes for kids and adults and our crew can provide assistance if required.
